There were days in the past when I did see her
What beauty what bliss did surround her
As she came this way, the village changed
They stopped in happiness, every man in range
Her pace was first slow like the lub-dub of the hearts
She seemed to be a magician throwing joy for starts
I was shy at first and watched through my window sill
Longing to be out with her dancing in the distant hills
Day and night all waited just to catch a glimpse
And I did too yearning from my gut to crimps
And one beautiful day after years of wait
There she came in the usual slow gait
This time I ran out of my house in pure love
Bending my knees thanking every God above
I smelt her, felt her and touched her as she came
The rain that came to win the draught’s games
